A dreamlike Romantic Tune between Shanghai-style and New Chinese-style

This case is an exquisite villa built with the ancient construction regulations of the Suzhou-style. BDSD Boundless Design integrates poetic grace with luxurious charm, creating a dreamlike atmosphere where Eastern and Western cultures intersect—between Shanghai-style elegance and new Chinese style. It exudes dignity with grace, and conceals charm within refinement.

Stepping through the door, the tea room faces the pine scenery in the courtyard, welcoming guests with views and echoing Chinese etiquette. Plain walls and pink renderings set off swaying pine shadows. The latticed windows in the corridor not only divide the space but also extend the visual hierarchy, making the courtyard scenery appear more profound. A single tree, a window, a bamboo, and a stone together construct an ethereal and elegant inner courtyard atmosphere.

The space unfolds in a three-entry structure, with a ceremonial circulation route. The entrance hall incorporates scenery through vertical windows, and curved lines soften the spatial mood. The living room achieves visual transparency and circular circulation through the division and framed views of walls and windows. Scenery flows outside the square-patterned window lattices; the contrasting colors of sky-blue and vermilion inject flexible Shanghai-style elements into the calm tone. Window tracery, corner decorations, and door frame patterns together narrate Eastern charm.

Windows and light become the soul of the space's aesthetics. The hollowed-out screen between the living and dining areas flexibly separates functions; the octagonal carved patterns echo the subtlety of latticed windows in Suzhou-style gardens—seemingly separated yet connected, vague and implicit. The skylight in the dining room introduces changing light and shadow; the upturned eaves form a natural framed view with profound artistic conception. The zigzag spiral staircase connects the past and present with wooden carved railings. The master bedroom continues the vermilion tone, exuding elegance in tranquility; the secondary bedroom, with ink-wash artistic conception, embodies a leisurely and calm lifestyle.
