The homeowners' deep connection with the sea inspired the vision for this 450㎡ riverside residence. BDSD Boundless Design embraced the concept of "home as a harbor," creating a dwelling that weaves together memory, emotion, and daily life.

Drawing inspiration from the ocean, the design incorporates curves, wave-like forms, and interplay of light to shape an experiential environment. Public areas are connected by continuous arcs, flowing like continuous waves. A floating wall panel evokes a sail gently lifted on the water, combining with a fireplace and shifting light to create a warm atmosphere. An artistic wall collage featuring seascapes from around the world echoes the imagery captured by Hiroshi Sugimoto. The space transforms throughout the day—serene and soft in the morning, illuminated by afternoon light that highlights each curve, and becoming a vibrant family hub by evening.

The kitchen and dining area flow openly into the living space, connected by a breakfast bar. The pure, clean kitchen gleams with a crystalline light, where the scent of fresh flowers and fruits mingles with the warmth of home-cooked meals. The primary bedroom faces the river, washed in the soft golden tones of morning light. Children's rooms, in soft pink and sky blue, feature flowing curves that create dynamic and playful growing spaces. The study and tea room offer private retreats, framing expansive river views and inviting changing light into daily rituals.

Home is both a vessel of memories and a sanctuary of emotions. When evening lights glow, it becomes a harbor for return and a place to set sail again with love—more than a residence, it is a gentle embrace of life itself.
